Time To Come Home

Saturday was our last day in the hospital.  Surprisingly, I never really got antsy to get out of the hospital and was totally content to be there and relax and enjoy our time with you.  I think Daddy was ready to go home after being there after almost four days.

Dr. Rose came in that morning and let us know that your blood sugar looked very good and released you to go home.  We did have to take the bililight home because you still had jaundice but at least we were able to take you home!  Mommy's doctor also came in that morning and released me to go home as well.
 So precious!
Mommy & Daddy's friends stopped by that morning to meet you.  They think you are precious as well.

Your poor little heels from being pricked over and over for your blood sugar screening.

All dressed and ready to go home.
You looked so little in your big car seat.

You and Mommy outside the hospital.
Daddy putting you in the car.
All locked in and ready to go home.

Once we got home from the hospital, we got everything put away and cleaned up and then we got you on your little bilibed.  It was horrible having you on there because we couldn't hold you but I don't think you minded one bit.  You looked very cozy and warm.  We ended up sleeping with you in the basement that night so you could stay on the lights.

Gussy wasn't quite sure what to think of you and I don't know that he really does yet.  He got kind of jealous when Daddy was holding you and so he sat right on Daddy next to you.
It feels so good to be home!  It is also definitely a lot more work doing everything on our own, without all of the help we had at the hospital.  Daddy has been absolutely amazing and I am beyond grateful for everything that he has done to help me with you.  You are one lucky little girl to have him as your Daddy!
