Monday was a little bit of a busy day. We had a doctor's appointment with Dr. Rose at 8:00 that morning, so we had to make sure we woke up 8in plenty of time to get ready and get our the door. We actually did pretty good! You weren't too interested in sleeping very well Sunday night so Daddy and I were both pretty tired!
The appointment with Dr. Rose went really well. He said you look wonderful and have maintained your weight very well. He was worried about you losing a lot when we went home but you did awesome! Your birth weight was 5 lbs. 12 oz. When we left the hospital on Saturday you had only lost 3 oz. and weighed 5 lbs. 9 oz. When we went to your appointment on Monday, you had actually gained an oz. and weighed 5 lbs. 10 oz. Dr. Rose was very proud of you!
He also told us to go to the hospital to have your blood drawn to see where your levels were at for your jaundice. When we were at the hospital, they were at 12.6. When we had your blood drawn on Monday, they had come down to 9.8. Your poor little feet have taken a beating. You get pretty mad when they have to draw your blood and it breaks my little heart. The good news is that when Dr. Rose saw the results, he had us take you off of the bililights, which we were so excited about! Now we can snuggle you all we want! We did have to go back in Tuesday again to make sure that you are still where you need to be, especially since you weren't on the lights all day Monday.
Monday night, Grandma and Aunt Brie brought us dinner. Your sweet cousin Braxton came to see you too and he sure does love you! He wanted to hold you so badly and as soon as he held you, he started kissing your sweet little head over and over and was so gentle with you. You have so many people that love you Brek!
Later that night, I was out in the kitchen and could hear Daddy talking. When I came in your room, this is what I found. I don't think you will ever be able to comprehend how much Daddy and Mommy love you! You have the best Daddy in the whole world!
SO happy for you guys!!! Glad everything went well! Can't wait to see her sweet little face! I loved reading through your posts and seeing how your last couple weeks have been. It was nice talking to you today. Work hasn't been the same without ya.
