Your Sweet Little Name

 Probably one of the things that I have been most surprised about, since finding out you were a girl, is the amount of times we have been asked what we are going to name you.  I don't think I ever realized how many people are interested in your name.  Daddy and I have had a list of names we like but haven't really come to a final decision about what to name you.  I think we will probably wait to see your sweet little face before we decide.  I want to avoid naming you something trendy or really popular, that you will share with five other girls in your school class.  Daddy likes names that could be boyish or girl.  Needless to say, I think we are driving everyone crazy because we don't have a name yet!

One thing we have been able to decide on is your middle name.  Bernice.  Both Daddy and Mommy's Grandma's are named Bernice.  They are both extraordinary women and we have such fond memories of both of them.  With both of them sharing the same unique name, we found it only fitting to name you after them.  I am definitely sentimental and I love that we can name you Bernice after both of our Grandma's.  

Daddy's Grandma passed away a few years ago but I was able to see her quite a few times and get to know her.  Both of your Great-Grandma's have sassy little personalities and I hope that you inherit some of that from them.  I think you are kind of destined to have that with me as your Mommy!  Daddy is going to have his hands full with two of us!  They also both love life and are so fun and outgoing.  My Grandma Bernice is still alive and told me that she is just "tickled" and "honored" to have you named after her.  I can't wait for you to meet her.

I wanted to have both of their pictures in your nursery, so you can always remember the special ladies that you are named after.  Grandma Beardall had the sweetest little picture of her when she was little that is now in a frame in your room.  Grandma Couch couldn't remember of any little girl pictures she had so I will just get one of her and you when she meets you.  There are so many people that can't wait to meet you B, especially me and your Daddy!!
