We Are So Excited To Announce:

We are so thrilled to finally be able to find out that you are a sweet little girl!! We would have been happy with either one but I think we were both secretly hoping for a little girl. We have so many boys on both sides of our family and even into my extended family that we kind of assumed that is what we were having. Everyone kept asking us what we thought we were having and I really didn't know. I had kind of had feelings both ways.

We went to the doctor last Wednesday and Julia let us know that she would be able to tell us what you were and she wanted to make sure we wanted to know. I let her know that if she couldn't tell, daddy was going to be so sad!  Before she even told us you were a girl, she called you a "she" and I asked her if she was saying you were a girl and then daddy's response was priceless! You would have to hear him when he said it but he said it quite loud and so excited and said, "are you kidding"!?! After about two minutes of the ultrasound, Julia is pretty sure you are a girl.

Grandma and Grandpa Beardall live right by our doctor's office so we stopped by to tell them the good news. Grandma wasn't home but we called her and they were both so excited to have a little princess. We weren't as nice with mommy's family!! We kind of played a joke on them!  With having all boy cousins, it was a bigger deal for everyone to find out what we were having. I sent a series of text messages and this is how it went:

"We are having another...." 30 minute wait.

"Sweet"....a few more minutes.

"Little"....another minute.

"Baby"...one more minute

"GIRL"!!!!

Everyone is so excited and we are so grateful to know that you are still so healthy and are growing just like you should be.

After we went to Grandma and Grandpa's, I told daddy that we needed to go buy something pink so we went to Babies R Us and bought you your first pink blanket! Then we went to dinner. While we were sitting at dinner, daddy told me that you are going to be so spoiled. I asked him by who, "you" and he said "yep". I think you already have daddy wrapped around your precious little finger!!

Once we came home, daddy was so worried that maybe we missed something and what if you were actually a boy.  We watched the ultrasound about ten times and also looked online to see what boys look like at 16 weeks.  After watching everything we could, we are almost certain you are definitely a girl!!  

We are so excited to finally know what you are.  It's starting to make this so much more real.  Mommy's belly is starting to grow a little bit more and I cannot wait until I can feel you move.  We are so excited to start getting your nursery and everything else ready for you to come, because May will be here before we know it.
